Transfer of Home Loan
By J Y Desai on January 4, 2009, 12:10 pm
I have a current Home loan with the HDFC Bank, Gurgaon, for a house I own and live in, in Gurgaon. The loan is about 7 months old (7-year term)and the outstanding is about 20.25 lakhs. HDFC is not willing to reduce the ROI from the current 11.5% despite my several representations. SBI also is not responding positively for a balance transfer despite my furnishing them the full details more than once.I understand from the newspapers that banks are offering about 9% for loans in this range. Please help me by furnishing me banks / institutions which will take over the loan at 9%-9.5% ROI.

Transfer of loan from ICICI Bank
By Srinivas on December 17, 2008, 9:50 am
Hi,
I have taken home loan from ICICI Bank in 2005 to buy an apartment in Hyderabad. Now I have moved to USA.
I want to transfer my loan to another bank like SBI as I am not happy with ICICI Bank's amortization schedule.
Can I transfer my home loan without visiting India? What is the procedure? Are there any options like asking ICICI to increase my EMI amount so that I can quickly pay off the ICICI loan? |

It Totally depends upon the market situation. In Fixed Rate of interest also the banks can change the Rate of Interest as per their Terms And Condition after a specific period of time. Whereas the Floating Rate of Interest is usually lower the the Fixed Rate of Interest. And it also changes as per the market situation. So to choose the best deal you should compare the offers and benefits provided by different banks as per your requirement. Then you only would be able to decide which offer is better for you.

Sir, It would be better if you go for Balance Transfer with an additional Top-Up as the Rate of Interest on Home Loans is quite less as compared to Loan Against Property. You should approach different banks for home loan and compare their offers. You can get the details of different banks through this link :- http://www.deal4loans.com/Request_Loan_Home_New.php
