The rebates associated with a home loan are tax saving are on the interest paid as well as on the principal repaid. The deduction of interest payable on the loan taken to buy the house property is up to a maximum of Rs. 1,50,000 every year under section 24(b) and the principal portion of the loan repaid to the bank will be eligible for deduction under section 80C (along with other contributions and investments) up to a maximum limit of Rs. 1,00,000.

There are No rebates for Personal Loan

I believe you can approach Kotak bank for the personal Loan as they already have your repayment track record. You can also approach the bank where your have your account for the last 1 year.

You are already paying EMIs of Rs. 32,000 towards your personal and car loans. If the outstanding amount on your credit cards is Rs. 6,00,000, then you are also paying a minimum due of Rs. 30,000 on them. With a net salary of Rs. 70,000 per month and an outgo of Rs. 62,000 per month towards debt repayments, I do not expect any bank to offer you a loan easily. My advice would be to leverage some asset you already have which is not lien marked to raise money for you at a relatively lower cost and use that money to settle your card debts.

 Refinance existing loans

Not too many banks lend money to purchase land. You will need to check with other banks on their valuation of the land and the rate of interest they charge. You will need to pre-pay the loan with ICICI and move the same to another bank.

As this is an unapproved plot, u may face technical difficulties with regard to the construction of your house. As regards your eligibility, you should be able to get a loan of Rs.7 lakhs against your income. Taking this loan against the collateral of agricultural land may not be possible.

Try taking a loan from barclays . They might be able to give you such loan from the track records of your earlier loans and that too if they are clean.

Most banks would consider blood relatives as eligible co-applicants. The income of the co-applicant is taken into account while calculating the eligibility for the loan. However, the repayment is necessarily from a single account of the applicant.

You can get a loan on the basis of your credit card, ie analysing your expenditure behaviour or an the basis of your salary, on the basis of your income record. I think the rate of interest will be from 16 to 24%

How to know my CIBIL Rating?
 By A Chatterji  on  February 6, 2008, 1:00 am
 Hi,

I recently applied for an educational loan, however my Auto(two wheeler)loan account has some bounced cheques. This was due to the fact that my last account on which an EPS to pay auto loan was set is now closed.

The auto loan account is upto date as i make payments manually each month, although each month the account gets Defaulted EPS.

will this affect my Educational loan's sanctioning?

Please advise...
Thanks

the bank might have informed credit bureue about the this matter so ask your recovery agent get your EPS cancelled in said bank so that your EPS will not go to the said bank in future & ALSO INFORM credit bureue about this & take steps to remove ur name from defaulters list
