Central Bank of India : Scheme of Interest Subsidy for Housing the Urban Poor(ISHUP)
The Government of India under the provision of Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has introduced an Interest Subsidy scheme for the Economically Weaker Section and the Lower Income Group segments in urban area under “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna”. Under this scheme any eligible beneficiary who does not possess a pucca house shall avail housing loan to construct their house. Central bank of India is one of the bank that provides Scheme through their bank.

Subsidy under the scheme

Interest subsidy is levied for loan amount up to Rs 1 lacs and if the amount is more than Rs 1 lac than no subsidy is allowed.

Eligibility

  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS)

  • Lower Income Group (LIG)

Beneficiary Family

  • The beneficiary family must comprise of husband, wife and unmarried children.

  • The beneficiary family must not possess any kinds of pucca houses in h/her name name or in the name of any family member in any part of India.

Income Criteria

  • EWS : The minimum monthly household income must be Rs 3300 per month.

  • LIG : The minimum Monthly household income of any LIG segment must be up to Rs 3300 to Rs 7300.

Maximum Loan Amount

Maximum loan amount provided under this scheme is Rs 1.60 lacs.

Repayment Period

You can repay the loan amount within a period of 15 to 20 years.
