DDA has announced to start the applications and allotment procedure in 2014 after 2010 when about 16,000 houses were being allotted to people.

It is expected to have applications being opened up in the month of June in 2014.

This is year the estimate number of flats to be allotted is 27,000 which is much than 16,118 flats which were allotted in 2010.

People have set their expectations on to DDA and the eyes are stuck in DDA’s moves to start with the application process.

Process starts with the announcement by DDA when it opens up applications portal. The applicants will fill up the application forms and submit in DDA itself.

After the last dates of applications to be received is being met, no more applications are accepted and then after that allotment procedure starts which is quite fairly decided as there’s not a single way to judge a person’s right for allotment of DDA houses so to make it simpler and convenient, lucky draw is being done in order to randomly select people to for allotment.

When lucky draw is being held, and applicants are being selected, they pay a certain amount to DDA for the house, which is always lower than the actual prices going on in the market as that’s what DDA’s purpose is as it’s a government affiliated body which as introduced this procedure in order to support people.

DDA’s scheme for 2024 will have 1,500 flats on sale for the middle income group and the lower income group, which will range between Rs 30 lakh and 80 lakh. There will be 1,375 HIG (high income group) flats on offer as well. These flats start from around Rs 1 crore. The EWS flats are expected to be priced from Rs 12 lakh onwards.

DDA believes on making the announcement for applications only when the flats are perfectly ready and done for people so that complaints are avoided and right after allotment, the flats can be given to its respective owners after their payment has been done.

Most people are competitive towards these allotments of DDA flats as these flats are much cheaper as compared to other private developers.
