Delhi Development Authority May Bring Next Housing Scheme Completely Online

From “application to refund”, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is mulling making its next housing scheme a completely online affair to reduce the long queues of flat aspirants at its headquarters. As per recent reports, about 11,000 flats are to be offered under Housing Scheme 2016. The flagship Housing Scheme 2014 offered 25,040 flats across categories, with prices ranging between Rs. 7 lakh and Rs. 1.2 crore.

DDA has received over 10 lakh applications for the flagship ‘Housing Scheme 2014’ and it will on Monday conduct a dry run to check its preparedness for the much-awaited draw of lots.

The tentative date for holding the draw of the lots for the new scheme was November 10, but a senior official of the housing authority on Sunday said that the exact date would be decided based on the outcome of Monday’s trial.

Results May Be Out on 25 November 2014.

The draw for the Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) housing scheme 2014 has been postponed again.

DDA had decided to hold the draw on Monday but after another trial run on November 22, it decided to postpone it again. The draw will now be held on Tuesday.

The draw has been postponed quite a few times due to technical glitches triggered by a huge number of applications.

News About DDA Housing Scheme:

10000 rejected flats up for sale from 2014 Housing Scheme

Nearly 10,000 DDA (Delhi Development Authority) flats will be available early in the new year, most of them one-bedroom accommodations surrendered by allottees of the 2014 housing scheme. The land-owning agency hopes to turn around the large scale rejection, unusual for DDA projects, by putting up the flats for sale around March, along with others returned or yet to be allotted under other schemes.

No extra time to DDA for Rohini plots

Supreme Court has dismissed DDA plea seeking extension of deadline laid down by court to allot plot/land to nearly 14,000 applicants in Rohini area. The land-owning agency had sought indefinite extension, citing law and order problems being created by local villagers in the area.
